The SZ-V is the WORLD'S FIRST safety scanner to have a camera built in to the unit. Capture images, and even videos, when an object or person enters the protected area.Features like a detachable display, system memory plug and multi-zone monitoring further separate the SZ-V from other safety devices. Network communication through CIP Safety, PROFIsafe, Ethernet/IP®, PROFINET, or UDP is also possible.

The Keyence SZ-V Series Safety Laser Scanner provides an extensive 8.4-meter protection zone and a 26-meter warning zone, featuring a detachable display unit for remote monitoring, customizable detection zones, and the world's first integrated camera for real-time visual feedback. It also supports network compatibility with CIP Safety and PROFIsafe protocols.

 

Area Protection

Safety scanners prevent hazards when an unintended object or person is in danger. Unlike safety mats, they can be unobtrusively mounted to avoid damage or impact while still protecting complex areas.

 

Access Protection

The SZ-V also allows for vertical mounting to detect any undesirable entrances into a hazardous area. This feature is especially ideal in locations where it would be too difficult or impractical to effectively mount light curtains.

With conventional scanners, it was very difficult to monitor the scanner's status while the machine was operating. This is no longer a concern with the detachable SZ-V Display Unit which enables users to easily monitor the scanner at any time 

By utilizing the SZ-V’s CIP Safety and PROFIsafe compatibility, series connection capability, and dual zone control, the SZ-V is able to provide an easier and more costeffective solution for protecting multiple machines or areas.
